2026 Iditarod
This marks the 54th running of the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, often called “The Last Great Race on Earth.” The 2026 edition follows the southern route, spanning nearly 1,000 miles through Alaska’s rugged wilderness from Willow to Nome. The trail winds through mountain passes, frozen rivers, and remote villages, testing the endurance and teamwork of mushers and their dog teams.
