The climb doesn't stop at 1,000 hours. Until now, ATP Senior Captain was as high as you could go, and nearly a hundred of you are already there. So we've added the Command tier: five new ranks for our most experienced pilots, each with its own epaulettes.

The new ranks

• Command Captain: 1,500 hours
• Senior Command Captain: 2,500 hours
• Master Captain: 4,000 hours
• Senior Master Captain: 6,500 hours
• Fleet Captain: 10,000 hours

The epaulettes add a third and then a fourth star, and the top two ranks get a gold border. Fleet Captain wears a star in a laurel wreath, for the few who have flown 10,000 hours with us.

How you get promoted

Same as always: your rank comes from your total hours, approved transfer hours included. If you've already passed one of these marks, you'll be promoted when you file your next PIREP. There's nothing to apply for. Just fly.
