Achievements are here! Starting 1 November 2026, every flight you fly with CAVacars 2 can earn you achievements: badges for how you fly, not just how much.

Grease a landing in a gusty crosswind, fly by the book from gate to gate, land at Lukla, or keep up a weekly flying habit, and CAVacars 2 rewards you for it.

How it works

• Fly with CAVacars 2. The app records your touchdown, your lights and gear, the weather and more. That's what achievements are judged on, so only CAVacars 2 flights count.
• Everyone starts from zero on 1 November. Only flights flown from then on count.
• Bronze, Silver and Gold. Most achievements have three tiers. Each tier earns points toward your achievement score, and the top scores go on the leaderboard on the Stats page.
• Some are hidden. They show as ??? until someone earns them. Go exploring!
• Earned is earned. Achievements unlock when your PIREP is approved, and you keep them.

Four categories

• Landing skill: Butter, Textbook, Crosswind Ace, Greaser Streak and more.
• Airmanship: lights, gear, no warnings, fuel planning and diversions.
• Exploration: new airports and continents, challenging airports, night, dawn and bad-weather flying.
• Community: group flights, flying on VATSIM or IVAO, and flying every week.

Getting started

1. Update to the latest CAVacars 2, or download it from the CAV website if you haven't switched yet.
2. Flying online? Add your VATSIM or IVAO ID to your profile so On the Network can find you.
3. Fly! After you file, CAVacars 2 shows what you unlocked, and how close you came to the next one.
